Free access to the TRANSFAC PWMs

While the primary performance metrics of EPIC are fixed, we are also interested in classic, directly interpretable models. Successful approaches of this kind will be highlighted in the post-challenge manuscript.

To support this initiative, geneXplain is providing participants with limited free access to the latest release of TRANSFAC, the widely used commercial collection of position weight matrices (PWMs). Interested teams should contact Dr. Alexander Kel to request access, specifying their EPIC team name as in the Leaderboard.

Please note that the usage policy strictly restricts these proprietary data to EPIC-related work, including the post-challenge analysis.

We encourage participants to also actively use freely available PWM collections such as CIS-BP, HOCOMOCO and JASPAR.
