The data of EPIC
The challenge utilizes single nucleotide resolution RNA polymerase II initiation sites and levels of both stable RNAs (mRNAs and non-coding RNAs) and transient RNAs (enhancer, promoter-antisense, or primary micro RNAs), as captured by csRNA-seq (сapped small RNA sequencing). We also provide sRNA (small RNA sequencing) data, which serves as the background control. More information can be found in Meyer et al. 2026 https://www.nature.com/articles/s41596-025-01285-y.
* The sRNA-seq data will not be used in the evaluation, but provided to participants, e.g., to estimate the signal-to-noise ratio.
