Baseline solutions

The basic baseline serves as a sanity check of the evaluation pipeline. We use dinuclete scores that reflect the genome transcription initiation rate at the second base of each dinucleotide. At challenge kick-off, we intend to provide additional, more advanced baselines to the participants, as incentives to do better. As an extra reference, we will utilize the sRNA-Seq data, obtained from the same species-tissue combinations. As a potential best-possible-prediction, we use the results of independent experimental replicates as the predictor.
